Story
This year I'm taking on 3 running challenges to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society!
On April 21st 2024 I’ll be running the London Marathon. This challenge is for the distance… I entered the ballot in 2019 after my dad ran the London Marathon. 5 years later… I have to run it Eeek! I’m not fast, I admire the scenery - but I get the distance done! My aim is to run it in about 6 hours, but mostly I’d just like to finish it!
On June 29th I’ll be running the 24km Round Sheffield Run. This challenge is for the terrain - the RSR is more of a trail run (which I’ve never done) around the hills of Sheffield, my home town. Target time TBC…
On 24th November I’ll be running the Silverstone 10k. This challenge is for time… as of April 2024 my PB for a 10k is about 1hour 17 - I’d like to push myself to 1 hour 10!
3 running events with 3 different challenges… so £300 target!🎯
I’m raising for MS Society because it’s a great charity close to home. My mum was diagnosed with MS back in 2022 and it’s really changed her life. MS Society is one of many brilliant charities conducting incredible and life changing research into diagnosis, treatment and prevention of MS. It also offers amazing free resources to help those affected by MS. Super charity, really proud to represent them at these events.
Thanks in advance :)
