A little history... I began suffering from what I now know as Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) back in 2023. Going from a girl in her 20s living life at university, to suddenly flaring head to toe, the next 2.5 years completely changed my life.

Topical Steroid Withdrawal is an iatrogenic medical condition caused by the use of topical steroids to manage various skin-related problems. Without warning, thousands of individuals are suffering from debilitating symptoms that go far beyond itchy skin! Unfortunately, TSW is not widely recognised in the medical community, creating a challenging landscape to be heard, understood, and most importantly, be treated.

We're often left to fight the battle alone, advocating for our safety, navigating misinformation and enduring unimaginable pain that hinders our ability to do day-to-day life.

I am incredibly grateful for the community and support I’ve received throughout this difficult period of my life. As I come out of what I hope is the other end of this battle, I’m determined to contribute to the incredible change already taking place within the TSW community. My health is in a position where I feel able and excited to join in making TSW heard 📢

The money I fundraise will be donated to The International Topical Steroid Withdrawal Awareness Network (ITSAN), a charity creating a safe space for those affected by TSW and driving meaningful and impactful change for this community.
