Palliative Pacers: Reverse Marathon for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice

Palliative Pacers is raising money for Woking Hospice
Woking & Sam Beare Hospice is a charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to adult patients of all ages who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses in the North West Surrey region, providing free of charge holistic care and support services both in our hospice and in homes.

Story

The Palliative Pacers are back—and going backwards!

After completing the Thames Path Challenge in 2024, and with Laura bravely completing the London Winter Walk in 2025, we’re now gearing up for our boldest adventure yet: the Reverse London Marathon, starting at 00:01 on 26 April 2026. Whether walking or running, the team will take on the iconic route through the night, raising vital funds for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice.

At the finish line, we’ll be handing over the baton to our Chair, Tim Stokes, who will run the official London Marathon later that day—continuing our shared commitment to compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care.

Woking & Sam Beare Hospice provides care and support to patients and families across Northwest Surrey. The dedicated teams deliver care in the hospice, at home, and in the community—ensuring dignity, comfort, and kindness at every stage.
