Story
This month marks 20 years since I lost my lovely Mum to cancer.
Over the past few years, she’s been joined by too many other women and mothers I know, in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s, who have died as a result of a cancer diagnosis.
In just the last 6 months, I’ve been to the funerals of three more women who’ve left us far too soon, and left behind kids too young to be dealing with the loss of their lovely mums.
So I’ve set myself a fundraising challenge: March for Mums.
On Sunday 24th March, I’ll be walking 20 km walk with my mate Sian to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research in the hope that, one day, we won’t have mums leaving their kids before they’re ready, or kids losing their mums too soon.
I hope that you can help support me in this mission to raise as much money as possible, and get to a point where we don’t have to hear any more stories of loved ones, colleagues and friends receiving a diagnosis that will change their lives, and the lives of those around them, forever.
