I'm wingwalking to support the RUH

I'm doing this Wingwalk for RUH, a hospital that means the world to me and for personal reasons too. RUH is at the heart of our community, and the staff there make a difference to people's lives every single day.

From the porters and domestics, to the healthcare assistants, nurses, doctors, surgeons, therapists, receptionists, and every single person who keeps the hospital running and they all play a part in caring for patients with kindness, dignity, and compassion. They show up, day after day, even when government pressures, funding cuts, and constant challenges make their jobs harder than ever.

RUH has supported me and my loved ones in ways I will never forget. In 2024, my dear family friend Paul spent his final days in RUH, and the care he received was extraordinary. Every member of staff who crossed his path treated him with gentleness and respect, and they supported us as a family too. I will always be grateful for that.

This Wingwalk is my way of giving something back.

To the staff who never stop caring.

All donations will go to RUHX and my chosen two areas are for Activities for Patients to help them with their stay in hospital because being in a hospital bed can be rather daunting for patients! We have volunteers who do many wonderful activities with are patients to keep them occupied from Older people’s wards to the wonderful children’s ward.

My other half of donations will go to all wards for the most Needed areas eg end of life mouth care boxes, toiletries etc for those patients who have no families etc and other important items to make are patients stay a little easier on them.

Every small thing Counts and goes along way.

To the patients who rely on RUH for hope and healing.

To the families who need comfort on their hardest days.

To the community that depends on this hospital more than ever.

you can donate whatever you can afford and it would mean the world. Every pound helps RUH support patients, families, and NHS staff and to buy vital equipment that saves the lives of so many patients who pass through the doors of the RUH
