This is a cause close to my heart. Over the years, many friends and family have been affected by cancer in many ways. More recently, my mum, Betty who is 83 was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a type of bone marrow cancer, which is treatable but not curable).

Mum is currently receiving treatment, which hasn't been easy on her but we are thankful that treatment is available.

The team at Belfast City hospital and her Macmillan Nurse have been so kind and caring in their approach to supporting mum and us through this.

Macmillan need all the financial support they can get.

So, in June 2025, along with my sister Sharon and a few friends, we've created the Wander Women team and have challenged ourselves to take on the Yorkshire Dales Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.

We'd be so grateful if you could help us reach our £500 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for two days. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
