CYCJ's fundraiser for Classrooms for Malawi

Pamela Morrison is raising money for Classrooms for Malawi
In memory of Ruby Whitelaw

Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·

Classrooms for Malawi plan to contribute to the advancement of education in Malawi by working side by side with the local community to build new classrooms or to refurbish existing ones, improving the learning environment available to Malawian children. As of 1/10/18, we became a SCIO (SC048091).

Story

On the 27th April some of the team at CYCJ are taking on the Kiltwalk in memory of our friend and colleague Ruby who suddenly passed away before Christmas.

Ruby's passing leaves a huge hole in our team and we will miss her humour, fierceness, passion and care. We know that the care community and beyond will also miss her dedication and expertise in supporting children and young people in conflict with the law.

As the "step count challenge queen" we feel that taking steps in her memory is a fitting tribute and therefore opted to take on the Kiltwalk.

Ruby volunteered for "Classrooms for Malawi" and was a charity very close to her heart. She recently returned from another trip to help them to build classrooms and support the community. We would therefore love to raise as much money for them in her memory.
