I am fundraising for Ovarian Cancer Action, a cause that is very close to my heart. The work they do is incredible.

In 2018 I received the devastating diagnosis that I had ovarian cancer. Fortunately, my symtoms were picked up early enough and after surgery and chemotherapy in 2019, I remain cancer free.

On Friday 6th October it is with a mixture of excitement and trepidation that I set off on a personal challenge to walk up Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest Mountain in Africa. I’ve never done anything like this before and I know to get me through I will have to trust in the expertise and knowledge of the team taking me up the mountain, the support of my fellow team mates and draw upon my own inner strength and positivity to get me to the top. This is in similarity to my belief in the expertise of the medical team, the support of family and friends and the mind-set that got me through my cancer diagnosis and treatment.

My trip to Africa is self funded so every penny raised will go direct to the Charity. Any donation, big or small, will really make a difference.
