The UK's largest pancreas treatment centre, offering and developing the latest clinical treatments for pancreatic cancer, acute pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis and one of the world's leading pancreas research centres.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are raising money for EUROPAC, the research study at Royal Liverpool University Hospital aiming to understand inherited conditions of the pancreas, particularly Hereditary Pancreatitis and Familial Pancreatic Cancer. The EUROPAC study involves pancreas specialists from the University of Liverpool and across Europe who are aiming to improve treatment and detection for all pancreatic diseases.

Stephen’s girlfriend Darcie has been under the exceptional, life-saving care of the teams at Royal Liverpool University Hospital and EUROPAC for years.

In November 2023, Darcie underwent a life changing Full Pancreatectomy at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, after suffering with hereditary pancreatitis from a young age. The care and support she received leading up to, and following the surgery was exceptional, which has helped Darcie massively with her recovery and learning to live with Type 3C Diabetes as a result of the surgery.

A cause close to our hearts, EUROPAC and RLUH have provided care and support to Darcie and members of her family and continue to do so for many others across the UK.

In April, we are all taking part in the Manchester Marathon, to raise awareness and money to support their world-leading and life-changing treatment and research.
