What is the Panda Raid?

Andy Johnson, of Fix Auto Lichfield, and Sam Randon decided to undertake this gruelling rally last year and enjoyed the experience so much that they are doing it again this year in a different Panda!

The Panda Raid is an unusual Rally, an Adventure, an uncomfortable journey… there are many ways to try and describe it, but once you’ve experienced it, it gets under your skin like the Moroccan desert sand.

With over 350 classic Fiat Panda 4x4 cars from the mid 1980’s taking part in the 2025 edition, across 1954 km of Moroccan desert, the Panda Raid is rightly described as a driving challenge ‘like no other’.

There’s no Wi-Fi, no GPS. We will navigate each stage using good old analogue maps and roadbooks handed out each morning. Stage classification is based on a scoring system taking into account navigation, by hitting checkpoints, and average speed in certain sections.

A satellite tracker will be fitted to the car for safety reasons which will also enable you to track our progress throughout the daily stages. We’ll share the tracking link closer to the start along with updates throughout the rally.

We have chosen DEBRA as our charity with our partner Morelli Group who do amazing work raising funds for them and the stories of those affected by this awful disease have touched our hearts

DEBRA is the national charity supporting those directly affected by, and working with, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a potentially fatal skin condition that causes constant pain due to unstoppable internal and external blistering. DEBRA provides lifelong care and support to the entire EB community.

Together we #FightEB and together we will beat EB.
