Story
On 5 December 2026, a team of 12 Paratroopers from across the ranks, ranging from Private Soldier to Major, will take on HYROX Excel London in the Pro Division wearing 10kg of body armour throughout the event.
HYROX is widely regarded as one of the toughest fitness races in the world and perfectly reflects the standards of fitness, resilience and determination expected of The Parachute Regiment. Completing the Pro Division is a challenge in itself, but our team is aiming to finish in under 1 hour 20 minutes while carrying the additional weight of body armour, making this an even greater test of physical and mental endurance.
We are undertaking this challenge to raise money for Support Our Paras, the only charity dedicated solely to supporting The Parachute Regiment and the wider Airborne Forces community. The charity provides lifelong support to serving soldiers, veterans and their families, standing by them from the day they earn their maroon beret through to later life.
The funds raised help provide vital assistance, including mental health support, mobility adaptations, hardship relief, employment and training opportunities, support for wounded soldiers, adventure training, compassionate travel assistance, memorial projects and much more.
As Paratroopers, we know first-hand the value of belonging to a strong regimental family. This challenge is our opportunity to give something back to the charity that supports our airborne community through both the good times and the bad.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Support Our Paras continue its invaluable work. Thank you for supporting us and helping us support those who have served, are serving, and will serve in The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces.
Ready for Anything. Utrinque Paratus. 🔴🪂
