The parish of St Machar's Cathedral has extended considerably in recent years, following the unions with St George's, Tillydrone and St Mary's, King Street. The Cathedral's Outreach Committee has a particular commitment to the parish and also to supporting the work of Christian Aid. As the Committee's Convener, I have undertaken to walk every street of the parish over Christian Aid Week 2026 in support of the world's most vulnerable communities.

All being well, I will leave from St Machar's at 12:30 every day 10-16 May (except 14 May). Please consider joining me for part of the walk. Whether it's beetling along the Beach Boulevard or hitting the high road to Hayton, everyone is very welcome to do as much or as little as they wish.
