Story
In March of 2024, my brother and one of my closest friends, Craig, was diagnosed with low Grade Marginal Zone Lymphoma, a type of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I want to do anything I can to raise money and awareness for Lymphoma, through this unbelievable charity. So in April of 2026, I’ll be taking on the Paris Marathon.
To tell you a little bit more of Craig’s story, is the man himself.
‘ This came as a complete surprise as I believed I had simply had a chest infection. Not long after diagnosis, I started Immunotherapy treatment which was initially very successful in reducing the lymphoma in my lungs and stomach. Less than a year later and some symptoms returned and after a scan it was decided I should have further treatment in the form of chemotherapy which I am currently undergoing. Lymphoma is the UKs fifth most common cancer, with over 60 different types and it is the most common in young adults aged 15-24 (so I was even more surprised to receive this diagnosis just before my 40th birthday)! Lymphoma action is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting those affected by lymphoma. I’ve personally benefitted from LA through support groups which provided me with much needed understanding and advice on my condition from others who were going through the same thing’
