Parkside School's Charity of the Year is Billy's Battalion.

Billy's Battalion is a charity (no. 1213415) dedicated to raising awareness of DIPG, a devastating childhood brain cancer, and funding better trials, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

Billy the Brave was just 15 days away from his fifth birthday when he died on Easter Sunday, 31st March 2024 — only five months after his diagnosis. He fought valiantly, but the battle was a brutal one, and Billy’s Battalion is now his legacy. The aims of Billy's Battalion are to raise awareness and funds to bring hope, drive research, and fight for all the little children in the queue for this monster of a cancer, which currently has a 0% survival rate.
