Story
On 16th May, the team at Net Temps will be swapping desks for hiking boots as we take on Kinder Scout, the highest peak in the Peak District, in support of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.
This charity hike is more than just a day out in the hills. It’s an opportunity for our colleagues, clients, and industry partners to come together to raise money and awareness for mental health in the construction industry—a cause that is incredibly important to many of us.
We’re inviting everyone to get involved by supporting the fundraiser with a donation of their choice via our JustGiving page.
Supporting Mental Health in the Construction Industry
The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity provides crucial support to construction workers and their families who are experiencing financial hardship, mental health struggles, or wellbeing challenges.
The charity offers a range of services including:
• A 24/7 confidential helpline
• Free counselling and emotional support
• Financial assistance for workers and families
• Wellbeing and mental health training for the industry
Mental health challenges are still a significant issue within the construction sector, making organisations like the Lighthouse Charity vital. By raising funds, we’re helping ensure construction workers have access to the support they need when they need it most.
