Partridge House 13 Mile Walk Fundraiser for Dementia UK

Gold Care Homes GCH is raising money for Dementia UK

Sponsored Walk · 30 May 2025

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

At Partridge House Care Home in Brighton, we’re known for our compassionate approach to caring for individuals with a variety of needs.

Something particularly close to our hearts, is Dementia, and supporting not only the individuals themselves living with dementia, but also their families and friends. In a recent resident meeting at our home, one of our residents asked if we could do something together to support people who have lost someone to dementia.

So, to mark Dementia Action week in May, a group of staff, residents and families of residents and former residents will be undertaking a sponsored walk to raise much needed funds for the Dementia UK.

On 30th May, we will be walking 13 miles across the Seven Sisters path, in the South Downs in the hope of raising both awareness, and as much money as possible for the Dementia UK so they can continue to do the amazing work that they do in our local community and nationally.

Whatever you can spare would be gratefully received and if you can’t donate, please spread the word to support our wonderful home and this wonderful cause.
