Story

My name is Sabrina, and I am a scientist who has worked for seven years in the field of oncology. Understanding how deadly this disease is, and how challenging it is to tackle, are two strong reasons why I believe efforts to beat cancer must continue. My contribution, alongside the efforts of many others who share the same goal, is something I am deeply committed to.

I have begun my journey toward becoming an independent researcher and am currently studying Healthcare Innovation at the University of Cambridge. It would be an honour to help find better ways to understand cancer, with the hope of improving how we treat, cure, or manage this disease.

Alongside my studies, I have established a small business, an after-school baking club, with the intention of supporting this cause in the future. Besides my time spent thinking about scientific challenges, I also enjoy sharing my passion for baking by teaching children in primary schools.

However, in all these schools, there is something noticeably missing: the smiles of CHILDREN AFFECTED BY CANCER!

For this reason, I have decided to fundraise for two charities that support children with cancer: Children with Cancer UK and Young Lives vs Cancer.

I have organised a baking activity for children from low-income families, giving them the opportunity to take part in my classes. The children use their baking skills to create chocolate puzzles, which are sold within their respective primary schools. This felt like the best way to promote inclusivity while supporting a meaningful cause.

Please donate..... These treats were made with great care and enthusiasm by children who want to help other children facing cancer!
