Story
I am on a mission to provide dignity to Southern Baptist ministers, workers and their widows who face retirement with little or no support. Many of these pastors served for a minimal wage supplemented with a monthly pounding, lived in a parsonage, and in old age did not have a pension, nor equity in a home.
I seek to partner with other Southern Baptists to raise support and awareness for Mission: Dignity. This is a fund that was established and is administered by Guidestone, formerly known as the Southern Baptist Annuity Board. It currently helps more than 2,800 individuals every year who have need for financial help with basic things like food, housing, and medications. It also ensures a well-deserved dignity, independence and often, the ability to continue serving the Lord.
On September 2, 2024 I will start a journey across the Katy Trail in Missouri. The trail is 240 miles, and stretches across most of the "Show me" state. My goal is two-fold: 1) To raise awareness of the offering, and 2) To raise at least $7,000.00 for the offering.
Would you join me and many others in helping these pastors and wives in their need? You can do this by pledging a monetary amount by each mile of the journey.
Thank You,
Kirby M. Hill
