Story
Taking on my first marathon – Manchester 2027 - Where I conquered my first Half!
In April 2027, I’ll be taking on my biggest running challenge yet — the adidas Manchester Marathon.
After a year of half marathons, chasing ever-improving PBs and gradually pushing myself further, it’s time to step things up properly and take on the full 26.2 miles.
This will be my first ever marathon, so there’s no pretending it’s going to be easy. The training will be a challenge in itself, but that’s exactly why I wanted to do it.
I’ll be running to raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, supporting the incredible lifesaving work they carry out every single day.
They rely heavily on charitable donations to keep their service operating, so every contribution really does make a difference.
Whether you can donate £5, £10, £20 or simply share the page, it all helps and I’ll genuinely appreciate every bit of support.
There’ll be plenty of training miles between now and April, plenty of early mornings, and no doubt a few moments where I question why I signed up!
But the goal is simple: get to the start line, give it everything, finish my first marathon and raise as much as possible along the way.
26.2 miles. My first marathon. One incredible cause.
Thank you for supporting me.
