2026 is my 70th year and to mark the occasion I would like to do something for O2e, a charity very close to my heart. Nick and I have signed up to do CarTen tomorrow - (9th May) as I write! - (108 miles Cardiff to Tenby) and Big Kev’s Bike Ride in September. (3 days, up to 250 miles, covering 5 countries around Luxembourg in September). The first donation to NIck is a big thank you from me for all the encouragement given to do all these crazy challenges. He is my companion on the rides and always there even when I get grumpy’!!

I would also like to do these challenges in memory of a very dear friend who passed way in 2025. Julie Ikenberry loved children and set up many Montisouri Schools all around the world. She was one of the first people to ride bikes with me when we were 8 or 9, tearing round the neighbourhood between our homes which were 4-5 miles apart. Rest in peace Julie and thank you for all the fun we had together as kids.

O2e is a great charity, for children with life limiting and challenging disabilities. Thank you to all those who organise the challenges for us all.
