On March 28th I am walking 29 km as part of 'The Bath Ultra Challenge' raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The reason I chose this Charity is because my 34 year old niece was diagnosed with this terrible condition 18 months ago and I am now witnessing the devastating impact it is having on her family and twin toddlers.

MND is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord and there is no cure.

The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Money raised is spent on both patients and research:

£85 funds software for voice banking.

£750 helps fund a wheelchair ramp.

£1,000 will pay for detailed analysis of a patient with MND to support research.
