Story
Mental health matters - I work with incredible people who face trauma on a daily basis. Too often this has a significant impact on their mental health. In their time of crisis, Samaritan volunteers are there to respond to their call for help. For those who have needed Samaritans in the past, for those who may need them in the future and for those who didn't know who to turn to and lost their battle.
Many people find it hard to speak openly or ask for help, but talking can be life-saving – whether it's with a colleague, family member, friend or a helpline like Samaritans. Every 10 seconds, Samaritans volunteers respond to a call for help. Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to listen and support people with whatever they are facing, with no judgement. It’s your kind donations and 23,000 volunteers that mean Samaritans are always there for anyone struggling to cope. Thank you for your help.
