Story
On the 5th October I will be climbing some very tall buildings in London!
This is to raise money for The Felix Project - a fantastic food redistribution charity which is very close to my heart as it was set up in memory of my friend Felix Byam Shaw, who died of meningitis at the age of 14.
Climb The Capital https://www.climbthecapital.org/ is the city's biggest climbing fundraising event, and involves climbing the stairs of three of the most iconic ‘peaks’ in London; The Cheesegrater, The Scalpel, and finally The Walkie-Talkie.
The Felix Project is London's largest food redistribution charity on a mission to see a London where no good food goes to waste and no-one goes hungry. They rescue good quality surplus food from over 300 suppliers and redistribute it to over 1,100 community organisations across London.
I have been to one of their food redistribution warehouses to see and help with the operation, and it is truly brilliant to see the enthusiasm of the volunteers and staff, and the real difference they are able to make.
