Story

Running my first ever marathon is going to be a big challenge for me! After a couple of years of working on ongoing injury problems, I feel (hope) I can trust my ankles to make the distance, but it’s going to be some effort! People know I run regularly but this is a daunting step up- I was so anxious when my London Marathon place appeared in my inbox!

Chrissie, Cath’s mum (my mother-in-law) was taken by Motor Neuron Disease when she was 67. And more recently Doddie Weir and Rob Burrow have died of MND but hugely increased awareness of this horrible disease (as the ice bucket challenge did before them.)

My own charitable donations tend to be responses to prompts such as friends’ fundraising efforts, so it’s my turn to prompt everybody I know to give a little (feel free to use this as a prompt to give to any charity you hold dear.) 😁
