Story
I'm going to step barefoot across a path of glowing embers to raise money for the charity I volunteer for, Porchlight. It involves terminology such as 'risk assessment' and 'mandatory liability waiver', so you can be assured any cash you donate will be earned.
Along with my fellow trustee Claire Waghorn-Ellis, I'm joining the event on 5 March to highlight the work of Porchlight, which for the past 50 years has been supporting people facing the devastating effects of homelessness. Today, we also tackle the causes and consequences of poverty, inequality and mental ill health.
Right now, the need for our services has never been greater. In the last year alone, thanks to our incredible supporters, we’ve been there for almost 6000 people across Kent and Medway.
More people than ever are coming to us in crisis — and your support today will help ensure no one is left facing these challenges alone.
With my thanks in advance for anything you can contribute.
