A couple of years ago, I used my Ukraine war thriller novel 'Imposters' to raise money for The British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

We raised over £1000.

This year, I want to 'go again', and this time I'm running a half marathon.

Ukraine is facing down Putin on Europe's behalf, and on the world's behalf. Much more than their nationhood, and lives, is at stake because success for Russian could embolden them and all of NATO's enemies.

Thus, I hope that you think it worthwhile to section off some of what you would give to charity in 2025 anyway to this unequivocally vital charity.

This is not about paying for arms, but paying for aid for those caught in the conflict. Ukrainians are still suffering and dying every day. Most of us here will have come into contact with Ukrainian refugees here and heard their stories.

This is our way of fighting the good fight!
