Each year Friends of the Cancer Centre funds life saving and life changing projects which make a real and positive difference to thousands of cancer patients and their families. The charity relies on donations from the public to be able to support these patients locally and across Northern Ireland.

Story

Hi, My name is Patrick Grant, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In Novemer 2022 I was diagnosed with grade 3 Glioma (Brain Cancer).

The last few months have been a whirlwind. From the birth of my first Daughter to losing my job, hospital appointments, surgerys, chemo and radiotherapy.

Initially, I felt hopelessly lost.

Thankfully I had the full love and support of my friends and family. I really could not have done any of this without them. I love you all very much.

My journey has made me realise the devastating impact cancer can have on people and their families. Not only physically but mentally, financially and socially.

Thankfully there are amazing charities out there, working diligently to support us through the dark times.

In July 2023, I will complete a 3000km lap of Ireland and hike 3 mountains in 3 weeks (hence the name 333 challenge, I had to give it a catchy title didnt l)

I am doing this challenge to raise money for a local charity that gives hope and support to people suffering from cancer.

Friends of the cancer centre is a worthy charity deserving of your kind donation.

Keep up to date with my planning and preparation on Instagram @333_Challenge.

Please give generously

Thank you
