Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the back end of 2024 we got the news that my lovely mum had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Whilst mum was going through her chemo, I was knee deep in training for what is nothing compared to what she’s gone through in the last 6 months. Four months of training and 4:13 hours later, I had made my way around the city to complete the TCS London Marathon.
In perfect time with the start of a heatwave my legs had gone by mile 13 but I dragged myself through it. At mile 20 when things were getting really tough, it was mum that came to my mind and got me through to the end.
Whilst I was lucky enough to run on a ballot place this weekend, I want to do my bit in giving back to a local charity that does their part for cancer patients in Worcester. They’ve made a huge difference to my mum and many others’ journeys through this horrible illness.
