Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 · 11 October 2026 ·

Join us on Sunday the 11th October 2026 for the Royal Parks Half Marathon and raise vital funds to support women survivors of exploitation.

Story

I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11th October 2026.

Having only recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours, I genuinely thought my fundraising efforts were done for 2026. But thanks to Rebecca, I’m back in training, strengthening my knees and ankles for the next challenge: running a half marathon in support of the inspirational Sophie Hayes Foundation.

Sophie Hayes is a small but powerful charity that has an exceptional impact. It helps women survivors of modern slavery rebuild their confidence, independence and futures through specialist training, coaching, work experience and advocacy across the UK.

Thousands of women need support to reduce the risk of being re-trafficked and trapped in exploitation again. I had no idea of the scale of this crisis: here in the UK alone, more than 120,000 people are estimated to be living in modern slavery.

My goal is to raise £500 which is enough to provide six months of life-changing support for one woman survivor. Every donation, whatever the size, will help Sophie Hayes Foundation continue this vital work and give more women the chance to move forward safely, with dignity, confidence and hope.

Rebecca is a trustee of the Sophie Hayes Foundation and is deeply passionate about its work and about the brilliance, courage and inspiration of the staff, volunteers and survivors who make it possible.
