Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Against my better judgement I've decided to attempt a 100k (62miles) Ultra Marathon in the Peak District on 28 June 2025. It starts and finishes in Bakewell in a figure of 8 route through the north & south of the Peak District. As you can imagine it’s a little bit hilly with a total of 2150m (7000ft) of elevation.
If you're interested, you can see the details on the link below and you're very welcome to come along and support or join in! Apparently, there are about 2500-3000 people entering different events ranging from 10 miles, 25k, 50k, 75k and then a few idiots doing the 100k - some over two days and some in one go. I've gone for the latter!

There's also a free app that you can download and track my progress/lack of progress on the day.
I've chosen to raise money for Dementia UK. My dad passed away last year and over the final few years of his life, struggled with dementia although it was never really diagnosed until very late on. Apparently, every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia - it's one of the biggest health challenges of our time. Families affected are often left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn and whilst we were lucky that there's lots of us to support each other, I’m sure that many families really struggle. Dementia UK provide support for families facing the fear and confusion of dementia so they know they’re not alone. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated.
