On Sunday 26th April 2026, I'll be running the London Marathon in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT).

I've been lucky enough to be selected by the charity to be one of their runners and fundraisers.

Through my employment with MandM, I've been involved in several fundraising activities and events for TCT. I've been fortunate enough to meet several people who work for the charity, so I've been able to experience first hand just how much enthusiasm, dedication and care they have for their work.

I've also been fortunate to meet some of the young people and their families who the charity has helped. Their stories have made me thoroughly emotional, but it's really striking what a personal relationship they have with the charity. You can really see the difference that TCT has made to their lives, and it's something they'll take with them for the rest of their lives.

I feel a personal connection with this charity because of a family experience. When my mum was a child her younger sister was diagnosed with leukemia and sadly passed away after many months of ultimately unsuccessful treatment. This has had an ever-lasting effect on my mum's side of the family. I never met my auntie but it's comforting to know that this charity help young people like her every day.

Running is my hobby, so I'm very fortunate to be running in one of the most prestigious marathons in the world. I'm planning on putting hundreds of hours of training in and I'm hoping you can support me with that effort by donating anything you can spare. I will be making contributions myself throughout the fundraising, as well as coming up with as many fundraising ideas as I can!
