Edward and Annabel's Charity Hike

We are doing a charity hike in the Swiss Alps this summer. Edward has already done a hike during the summer of 2023 and this time we are taking on the challenge together! We are raising money for our amazing school charity, The Fundo Foundation in Uganda.

The charity was set up by the Head of Music at our school after she was part of a group who visited Fundo School, in remote North Western Uganda, in 2023. They took with them as much equipment as they could, including a bag of rugby balls. After 2 hours of rugby games with the children in the midday sun, they took out their water bottles to rehydrate but then they released that the children had nothing to drink themselves. As it was the dry season the water tank was empty. The group from UK didn't feel they could return home and do nothing about it. So they set up the Fundo Foundation.

The charity is all about supporting Fundo School and the community. It helps with things that we take for granted in England, such as clean water and exercise books. They also have a goal of building some more classrooms as there are hundreds of children in a single class.

This is going to be Annabel's first proper hike and we will be walking at altitudes between 2000m - 3000m over 2 days. We are hoping we can raise more than 2023 which was £1001.
