Patrick runs for Bethlehem

Patrick Roche is raising money for Bethlehem Care and Hospice Trust

adidas Manchester Marathon 2026 · 19 April 2026 ·

Our team on the ground provide specialist palliative care to people in Bethlehem and support to their families. We are unable to care for everyone and need to expand to other towns and cities in the region to reach the people in desperate need of our help

Story

Bethlehem Care & Hospice Trust is the only organisation providing specialist palliative care to people with life-threatening and terminal illness in Palestine. Based in Bethlehem, their medical team brings compassionate care and dignity to those who are suffering at the end of life. Every donation, however small, goes directly to supporting their work on the ground.

I will be running the Manchester Marathon to raise funds for this mission. This cause matters deeply to me because it ensures that those who are suffering are not left without care, comfort, and dignity in their final days.

Christ teaches us: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40). Supporting this work is a way of living out that call to care for the sick and the most vulnerable.

If someone I loved were suffering in the same way, I would hope that this kind of care would be available to them.

Thank you very much for your support.
