Emmaus Oxford gives homeless people skills, self-respect and a reason to get up in the morning. Every day 28 people who have been homeless live and work in our community. We offer much more than just a bed for the night.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

Emmaus Oxford came to our school to discuss who they are and what they do. They support homeless people not just by giving them donations, but by helping them out of their situations permanently by providing jobs and addresses to help break the cycle of homelessness. This struck me because Emmaus presented itself as a charity wanting to change the narrative for so many by giving support that matters. They aim for long-term help rather than short-term support to reduce the number of people sleeping on the streets, especially as we begin the coldest time of the year, and I want to do my part to help. I'll be walking approximately 177 miles across Wales alternating between wild camping and bnb's. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will go straight to the charity.

Thank you for your help!
