Story

Riding to Support People Living with MND 🚴‍♂️

Sport - and especially rugby - has given me a lifetime of joy, teamwork and immense friendship.

Inspired by the courage, strength and action of the late, great Doddie Weir and other sports stars tragically affected by MND, I’m joining the amazing Edinburgh Accies Hasbeen’s cycling team for a four day, 800 mile ride starting in Melrose, Scotland and finishing at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on 13 March.

It will be a long, tough slog each day. But nothing compared to the daily challenges of people living with MND. I want to help them and contribute to research that could bring better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Every gift counts and here’s how your support could fund the likes of the following:

£20 – Support Someone Newly Diagnosed

Help a person and their family get the right guidance when they need it most.

£50 – Practical Care Support

Fund basic equipment, home-care or aids to make daily life safer and more manageable.

£75 – Personalised Specialist Support

Support a specialist nurse visit or counselling session for hands-on, one-to-one care.

£100 – Fund Research

Support studies and trials toward better treatments and ultimately a cure for MND.

Thank you so much for reading and for any encouragement or support you can give. Every donation - even the smallest - will help families living with MND and bring hope for the future.
