Update:
Thank you SO much from the bottom of my heart (and feet!). We did it! With your donation I was able to surpass my fundraising goal for Free to Run and you’ve taken part in helping girls and women in conflict zones safely run outdoors and be active ❤️.
With those extra donations I decided to translate that into running a few extra miles on the course during the 50k race on June 21st (oops 😆!). I finished and truly had an amazing time out there. Thank you thank you again!!

Hey there!
As most of you know, I love to run. Far. I’m incredibly lucky that I can throw on my running shoes and spill out onto the streets of NYC or wind through mountains that will test my limits and completely humble me. However, not every woman has these opportunities.
On June 21st I’ll be running the Free to Run Trail Race 50k, a race organized by The Berkshire Ultra Running Community for Service (BURCS), which supports the organization Free to Run, Inc. and race proceeds will go to this cause.
Free to Run’s mission is to advance gender equity globally through running.
They do this by providing leadership and wellbeing programs, in conjunction with running experiences, for adolescent girls and young women in conflict areas like Iraq and Afghanistan. Free to Run participants are typically refugees, internally displaced people, and those who identify as ethnic minorities.
The end goal is a shift in gender equality with a specific focus on the expansion of access to public space, and leadership opportunities for young women.
I’m hoping to raise some funds for this incredibly important mission and to do what we can to provide opportunities for all girls and women to run! Please join me by giving any amount to Free to Run.
Thank you!
