Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for the Tayside Mountain Rescue Team. Year 2023 was their busiest 12 months in their 47 year history with 96 call-outs which is a 72% increase from the previous year. Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who live in the operational area. A wide variety of professions can be found in the team. All are skilled and experienced mountaineers. Team members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.

To raise money for this I will be taking part in the Highland Fling 53 mile Ultra Marathon. The 2024 race takes place on Saturday 27th April and is a point-to-point trail ultramarathon along the southern 53 miles (85km) of Scotland’s iconic West Highland Way trail through the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park from Milngavie to Tyndrum. During the 53 miles runners will climb a total of 7500 feet/2300m
