Paul Bettesworth's London Marathon 2025 for HCPT (Group 539)

Paul Bettesworth is raising money for HCPT

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

An incredible group of HCPT runners will be taking on the 2025 TCS London Marathon on the 27th April to grant a life-changing pilgrimage to Lourdes, the South of France, for disabled and disadvantaged children from around the UK.

Story

This year I will (finally) be running the London Marathon for the first time.

Many of you know how much I love to run, so getting a place in the London Marathon means I not only have the chance to tick off another running challenge, but I can also use this amazing opportunity to raise funds for an incredible cause: HCPT (Group 539).

HCPT is a truly incredible charity that supports children and adults with disabilities & additional needs - helping them to go on life-changing pilgrimage holidays to Lourdes in France.

HCPT is very dear to my heart. Having seen first-hand on several trips to Lourdes the joy and empowerment HCPT brings to its guests and families, I cannot think of a better cause to which I can dedicate my marathon mission in 2025.

Now, I’m asking for your support in two ways:

Firstly: please donate anything you are able to this fantastic charity.

Secondly: if you see me out training, please give me a wave or a ‘toot’ – it really keeps me going. (and if I look in really bad shape, please stop me for a chat!!)

Every penny you donate will go to HCPT’s amazing work in our local area (Group 539), as I will personally pledge to make up any platform fees taken.

With your help, we can give more people the chance to experience the wonder of Lourdes and experience a holiday they may not otherwise ever be able to have. It really changes lives and gives memories that last forever.

Thank you for your generosity – now, back to the training!
