Run, swim, walk, cycle or canoe to remember those that crossed the Channel to start the liberation of Europe 80 years ago. Not only will we remember the fallen, but also the living who returned home with combat exhaustion and lived with PTSD.

Story

I will be walking 800 miles (in total) with an 80lb pack on my back starting on the 6th of January 2024 to remember those that crossed the Channel to start the liberation of Europe 80 years ago. Not only will I remember and honour the fallen that did not return home, but will also remember the living who returned home with combat exhaustion and lived with the traumatic experiences from the war.

Let us also be reminded of the veterans of all wars who suffer(ed) with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Some of these veterans are no longer with us through battling their own demons. By donating and supporting me in this challenge the money raised will go to Who Dares Cares who always go a little further in supporting veterans suffering with PTSD in combating their condition and saving life’s. They can only continue to support our veterans with your help in fundraising vital funds during campaign R1944. The fundraising will make all the difference in supporting our veteran’s and making a difference to their lives as you never know who may be fighting a hard battle on the inside

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
