White Collar DJ Event 2025 · 15 November 2025 ·

After 8 weeks of training with a local DJ, participants will showcase their new skills on Saturday 15th November in front of an audience at Royal Yacht Hotel.

Story

Those who know me, know I love a challenge. Over the years, I’ve taken on some pretty wild running adventures — pushing myself to the limit (and sometimes beyond) — all while raising money for local charities.

This year, I spotted the White-Collar DJ Event and knew I had to be part of it. I’ve always loved music and wanted to learn how to DJ, so when this chance came up, I jumped straight in. The twist? I’ve never touched a set of decks in my life — so this is a whole new skill and a big step out of my comfort zone!

At the grand old age of 50, I’ll be swapping my running shoes for turntables and taking on a training regime that’s almost as intense as a marathon. Over 8 weeks, I’ll be at DJ camp three times a week, learning the art of mixing, scratching, and reading a crowd — all leading up to a live performance at The Royal Yacht. What could possibly go wrong?!

Yes, it scares me… but it also excites me. And that’s the point — pushing myself, doing something new, and raising money for an incredible cause in the process.

Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey do vital work in our community, helping anyone affected by cancer — not just those with a diagnosis, but their families, friends, and colleagues too.

I hope you’ll support me, donate generously, and help us raise a big total for a truly amazing charity. Let’s make some noise for Macmillan! 🎧.
