At UBC, we are concerned with the social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of all people and, building upon our Shared Front Room, we hope to cultivate a space that inspires and educates, makes the arts more accessible, and fosters a sense of belonging and connection among the residents of Upton.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

Since moving to Upton just under a year ago, we have been getting to know the lovely community at Upton Baptist Church. It is a church with an amazing impact in the town, and also with a wonderful history which stretches back over 375 years. This includes a Grade 2 listed chapel which is in urgent need of renovation, linking in with the adjoining community rooms. The Wellspring project is a wonderfully creative project to transform the chapel into a beacon of warmth, accessibility and creativity alongside the existing rooms, so that the whole centre becomes a hub of wholeness, activity and contemplation which resonates with everyone.

The renovation of a listed building is never without cost, and the current estimate for this work is in the region of £500,000. As a small step towards this, I have set my own target as £2,000 for 'Trek 26' which is a 26 mile walk from Worcester Cathedral to Gloucester Cathedral on 19th August 2024.
