Following on from Hadrian's Trek in 2024, the team from St. James' Park will be completing 21 challenges in aid of Downs Syndrome North East. in 2025. I am taking part in Challenge 6- The Three Peaks Challenge!
CHALLENGE 1 - Richard Sharp and Jamie Ward are already in training, having secured charity spaces for this years Great North Run!
CHALLENGE 2 – On the 24th of March, we’ll be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day (slightly later than planned!) the “Lots of Socks!” way - Wear your most colourful, craziest, and mismatched socks – choose the socks which will get you noticed – and we’ll be offering a prize for the best (non-matching!) pair, with additional fundraising planned for the day.
CHALLENGE 3 - Brenda Wilkinson and Rebecca Moffitt have some fantastic prizes, and we’ll be running a raffle from the 13th of February till the 27th of February! Tickets are priced at £1.00 per strip, or 3 strips for £2.00 and available from reception!
CHALLENGE 4 – The treadmill will be making it’s way from Barracks Stores and back in to reception where we’ll be moving for 21 consecutive hours – date to be confirmed, following which you can sign up for a slot!
CHALLENGE 5 - Robert Jobson will be walking the Northumberland Coastal path from Tuesday 18th-Thursday 20th March
CHALLENGE 6 – A team, led by Richard Sharp will be completing the “Three Peaks” Challenge – Date TBC
CHALLENGE 7 - Emma Moscrop will be organising a balloon raffle - Date TBC
