The West Country 100 (WC 100) is a select group of 100 business leaders and individuals in the South West of England, who come together to support Royal Marines and their families, past, present and future, who find themselves in need through injury, illness and hardship.

We conduct an annual trek where those recovering from injuries and illness are sponsored and joined by West Country 100 members on a trek to challenge them on their recovery pathways.

This year's trek will take the team to Bulgaria, where they will visit cultural sites including the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Sofia, trek the valleys and mountains in the Rila region and summit the highest peak in Bulgaria: Mt Musala at 2925m.

The trek will be challenging but achievable. It will allow those who support, a chance to meet those who have been injured in the line of duty, and it will also allow those who benefit, a chance to meet those who give their time and money to support them. It is a powerful mix of mental emotion and physical endurance which creates understanding and friendships that last long after the trek is over.
