Story
I recently became a trustee of Friends of Cathedral Relief Service as I was inspired by the work the charity takes on for education, women’s empowerment and health. The charity aims to educate and help them step out of the circle of poverty.
The cycle ride will take me around 12 days, starting in Malaga from there we aim up the coast towards Granada, we then go slightly inland towards Albecete now passing through wine areas I head towards Zaragoza and then finally towards our destination of Bilbao. We pass through a number of mountain ranges and natural parks.
Cathedral Relief Service (CRS) exists to provide support for disadvantaged women, children and families in and around Kolkata, India, equipping them with the skills and confidence to discover a brighter future. We do this by providing centres and initiatives focused on:
Education - Teacher training
Women’s empowerment
Health and Nutrition
CRS currently has 13 projects in Kolkata, North 24 pgs, East Mindapore & Jharkhand
