On 26 June, I’ll be taking on a 22‑mile sponsored walk from Buckley to Prestatyn to raise money for New Mind International Ministries.

I’m doing this to support a charity that genuinely makes a difference. New Mind International Ministries is a UK‑registered non‑profit charity, and 100% of all donations go directly to the communities they support.

The charity works primarily in rural Uganda, currently focusing on Kiti village in the Wakiso district, where it supports local communities through child sponsorship, community projects, mentoring, and schools work.

Through fundraising and sponsorship, New Mind International Ministries is currently building a 12‑classroom school in the village. This school will provide free access to education for children who are unable to afford school fees—something we so often take for granted in the UK. The school will also include full disability facilities and practical training schemes alongside formal education, helping to give every child the opportunity to build a better future.
