Queen’s Hall Arts is a charity and multipurpose arts centre based in the heart of Hexham serving West Northumberland, the wider North East and beyond.

When they mentioned that they were organising a trek in the Sahara desert to fundraise for the huge range of events, community programmes and partners that they support, I was immediately interested. (If you know my wife, you'll probably be aware that she's had her fair share of African adventures… now it'll be my turn!)

I'll be doing a variety of activities to raise funds for my share of the costs of this adventure, everything from running ultra-marathons to baking cakes to feed the hungry hordes at work. Watch this space for further details!
