Story
Running 42.2 kilometers is a monumental challenge for this 51 year old, but it pales in comparison to the courage shown by those fighting childhood cancer. This May, we are taking on the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon to honor the memory of our beautiful daughter, Erin, who we lost to Neuroblastoma when she was just three and a half years old.
Erin’s spirit was bright, resilient, full of life and little bit cheeky. We are running to carry that light forward, and we won’t be doing it alone. "More Mopsy", Erin’s beloved bunny, will be joining me again for every single kilometer, crossing the finish line at the Cape Town water front where Erin spent her last holiday
We are turning every mile of the Cape Town coastline into a step toward a future where no family has to endure the heartbreak of losing a child to this disease. All funds raised will go directly to Children with Cancer UK. Their work is vital—funding life-saving research and supporting families through their darkest times.
Why your support matters:
* Research: Helping scientists find cures for aggressive cancers like Neuroblastoma.
* Support: Providing essential welfare for families navigating a diagnosis.
* Hope: Ensuring every child has the chance to grow up and chase their own dreams.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donation, large or small. Your generosity helps us keep Erin’s memory alive with every stride we take alongside Mopsy.
Thank you for standing with us and for supporting a cause that means everything to our family.
For Erin. For Mopsy. For a future without cancer.
