Story
Please support me this Advent as I sleep in each of the five churchyards in our parish!
Over the past 10 years I have slept out to fund-raise for the Church Urban Fund. It aims to work locally to tackle addiction, homelessness and debt by empowering and investing in local communities. I've slept and woken up in on my 50th birthday in a barn, in cardboard boxes on tarmac (once in a stormy night of torrential rain) and spent a week sleeping in a hammock in the garden over lockdown.
Church Urban Fund supports churches and communities to provide a difference to their communities all year round. They help to tackle complex challenges such as homelessness, poverty, and exclusion, by mobilising individuals, churches, and whole communities. They understand that local people know their communities best, so they make sure local skills and knowledge are amplified and valued in everything they do.
I want to thank you so much for all of your support.
