The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

Koby Prescott will lead the SPF Kilimanjaro Challenge that will take place in late October 2024.

The Steve Prescott Foundation are no strangers to Kilimanjaro with the first trek taking place in 2013, the last trek was in 2017 and in between the SPF became World Record Holders in 2015 by playing the Worlds highest game of Rugby League.

Koby Prescott said “My dad was due to tackle Kilimanjaro in 2013 but sadly his health would not allow him to take on the iconic challenge.

I have heard many stories from previous challenges and seen the incredible footage from 2015 and have always wanted to test myself at the highest free standing mountain in the world.”

Everest Base Camp and Mount Toubkal where incredible challenges that will live with me forever, I am sure Kilimanjaro will be just as exceptional.

I hope many more SPF supporters will join me and raise vital funds for The Christie and Rugby League Benevolent Fund. We are all so passionate to help those less fortunate than ourselves and want to continue my dad’s astonishing legacy.

It will be a trip of a lifetime, I cannot wait!”

The challenge will be departing from Manchester on the 21st October 2024 and be returning on the 30th October, subject to alteration.

The SPF will be using the same contacts and organisations from previous year’s experiences and all participants will be in safe hands!
