Paul's fundraiser for Carli Lansley Foundation

National 3 Peak Challenge · 13 June 2024
On 1st June 2017, Karl's wife – Carli Lansley – sadly passed away from Sudden Arrythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) at the age of just 36. Karl and Carli have two young children – Jessica (11) and Ethan (7).
It has naturally been a devastating time for the family but Karl has decided to turn this tragedy into something positive, to make sure no other family should go through what he and the girls are going through.
Karl set up the Carli Lansley foundation with the aim is to raise sufficient funds to cover the cost of holding ECG screenings for young people (aged 14-35) in the Southend area. These screenings will enable 100 young people per day to receive a free ECG.
I have completed a couple of events sporting the foundations running tops, with the aim of getting the charity's name in the public eye and now with my next challenge I think it's time I raise some funds for a very worthwhile cause
On June 13, 2024, a team of twelve friends and colleagues will start the National Three Peaks challenge.
As one of the most iconic trekking events in the UK, the National 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The challenge covers 42kms and involves 3,064 metres of ascent. Despite the popularity of the 3 peaks challenge, you shouldn’t under estimate the toughness of this challenge.
They will be led by an experienced guide from Adventurous Ewe where they will have 24 hours to summit all three peaks. To read more about the National 3 Peaks challenge, click here: https://www.adventurousewe.co.uk/trip/national-3-peaks-challenge/
